Why is TypingWeb free?
We believe learning a skill as fundamental as touch typing should be available to everybody of all ages, skill levels, and even languages! How can the internet grow if it takes us an hour to type an email?

Does TypingWeb offer any certifications?
Yes! TypingWeb is the only sanctioned organization offering official certifications meeting the guidelines of the Typing Institute of America. Do not accept substitutes, get your Official Typing Certificate today!

How do I access my Typing Certificate?
You can access your purchased Typing Certificate at any time by logging into your TypingWeb account, clicking the Certification link, and selecting the certificate you'd like to download.

How do I get rid of the advertisements?
You can sign up for a Premium Account to remove ads forever. Premium accounts also receive additional typing lessons and exercises. When logged into your TypingWeb account you will see a large red box in the top left corner next to the top advertisement.

How do I make the font larger?
If you are using Firefox or Internet Explorer you can type "Ctrl +" (CTRL and the Plus key) to zoom your screen in. "Ctrl -" (CTRL and the minus key) will zoom out. This is a feature of your web browser, and will work on all web sites.

How does the Hall of Fame work?
Every Sunday morning the Hall of Fame is updated with the previous week's fastest, and busiest typists. The Hall of Fame is calculated from typing exercises only. Typing test results are not used.

No, we do not currently offer an offline version of TypingWeb. You must have an active internet connection to use the product.

System Requirements
TypingWeb runs on all modern browsers and operating systems including Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. We currently support Internet Explorer 6.0+ (for Windows), Firefox, Netscape, Safari, and Google Chrome. No plugins or third party software is required such as Java or ActiveX. If you do not have one of these browsers, we recommend you download the free web browser Mozilla Firefox.
